The Kings Island and Miami
Valley Railroad opened in 1971 with King's Island. The ride was
originally a scenic loop through the woods, but with the addition of the
waterpark a second station was added to serve the waterpark area.
The railroad features a pair of Crown 36" steam locomotives and two
matching sets of coaches, and is maintained and operated with great
pride by the staff.
All photos are postcard images or publicity
photos from King's Island. |

Originally known as "Tecumseh", the "Kenny Van Meter" is the blue
locomotive. The stack was changed from the small balloon stack to a cap
stack at some point in its lifetime with the park. |
