Opened
in 1840 as Riverside Park, Six Flags New England, located on the
Connecticut/Massachusetts border, right on the Connecticut River.
The park became Six Flags New England in 2000 with the addition of more
modern thrills to the park's collection of classic rides.
The parks entry evokes the architecture of New
England's cities and villages, and is the home of the park's beautiful
1910 Illion's Carousel. |

Scream! |

as one of the best coasters in the world, this Intamin creation has a
unique layout incorporating tunnels, speed hills, overbanked turns and
amazing views down the Connecticut River Valley. |

Hurricane
Harbor is Six Flags New England's waterpark that is included with
admission to the theme park. The park began life as Island
Kingdom (and all the Tiki Men still bare the name!), and was renamed
Hurricane Harbor in 2003.
There is a good level in creating a tropical theme, and there is a
large variety of slides, pools, and other water elements.
There are several restaurants, a Tiki Bar that sells tropical drinks, and
a grill (which fills the air with delicious smells). |
